IRCC just updated work permit, study permit, visitor visa and super visa processing times on July 15, 2026. Here are the key changes from the previous update (July 7):

Work Permits:
- Nigeria: 6 weeks (down from 11 weeks) — the biggest drop, nearly a full month shorter
- Pakistan: 7 weeks (up from 6 weeks)
- Canada (in-Canada): 124 days (down from 127 days), reaching the lowest level this year
- India: 9 weeks (unchanged)
- USA: 3 weeks (down from 4 weeks)
- Philippines: 6 weeks (down from 7 weeks)
Service standard: In-Canada submissions 120 days, outside Canada 60 days.

Study Permits:
All six countries unchanged for the third consecutive week:
- Canada: 7 weeks, India: 5 weeks, Pakistan: 6 weeks
- Nigeria: 5 weeks, USA: 5 weeks, Philippines: 4 weeks
Service standard: In-Canada 120 days, outside Canada 60 days.

Visitor Visas:
- Pakistan: 39 days (up from 34 days, +5 days)
- Nigeria: 61 days (up from 59 days, +2 days)
- Canada: 34 days (down from 36 days)
- USA: 28 days (down from 29 days)
- India: 20 days (unchanged)
- Philippines: 17 days (unchanged)
Service standard (outside Canada): 14 days.

Super Visas (parents/grandparents):
- Philippines: +16 days increase (notable jump)
- Nigeria: +8 days increase

The work permit trend is clearly improving overall, with Nigeria seeing the most dramatic reduction after months of long waits. Pakistan's slight increase could be related to stricter document verification. Study permits have been flat for three weeks straight, possibly waiting for a policy adjustment. The super visa increase for the Philippines (16 days) is particularly unusual and worth watching.
