Manitoba PNP Draws 2,146 Invitations in Largest Round Since September 2025
On July 16, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 2,146 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination. This marks the largest MPNP draw since September 2025 and the 14th selection round of 2026.
Invitations were distributed across three main streams:
1. Skilled Worker in Manitoba (1,874 ITAs, cutoff score 825): This pathway accounted for 92.4% of all invitations. The dominant selection category was completion of post-secondary study in Manitoba, which made up 94.6% of invitations under this pathway. Candidates needed to indicate in their EOI that they or their spouse graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and had an EOI score of 825 or higher.
2. Francophone (84 LAAs, no cutoff score): Candidates who declared French as their language of communication with the MPNP and had valid French language test results were invited under this category. This is a significant opportunity for French-speaking skilled workers.
3. Occupation-specific (24 LAAs, no cutoff score): Targeted at candidates currently working in three healthcare NOC codes: General practitioners and family physicians (31102), Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine (31100), and Specialists in surgery (31101). The MPNP notes these candidates must be fully licensed to work in Manitoba.
Additionally, the Skilled Worker Stream in Manitoba and Overseas issued 86 invitations through strategic recruitment initiatives, and the International Education Stream Graduate Internship Pathway issued 78 invitations.
Of the 2,146 candidates who received LAAs, 825 declared a valid Express Entry profile number. This is significant because it means these candidates can transition directly to the Express Entry pool for federal processing after receiving their provincial nomination, which adds 600 CRS points.
Manitoba continues to be one of the more accessible PNP programs for international graduates, especially for those who completed their studies in the province. The 825 EOI cutoff is not the same as the federal CRS cutoff, so candidates should not be discouraged if their current EE score seems low.
For healthcare workers with the required NOCs and Manitoba licensing, the occupation-specific draw offers a direct pathway that bypasses the EOI score system entirely.
